Why We Give

Giving is the believer’s obedient and joyful response to God, His grace, and our recognition that we are stewards (not ultimate owners) of our possessions. Christians are not bound by the Old Testament concept of the “tithe”. We do not believe nor teach that there is a particular percentage that Christians should give. 2 Corinthians 8-9 offers the New Testament’s clearest instruction on giving:

Now this I say, he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
 2 Corinthians 9:6-7

The elders have chosen to not have access to any giving records. We truly want your decisions of how much to give to be between you and God, an expression of joy and contentment, and without a hint of seeking to impress or achieve merit.

We do not have a time in our service where we ask for offerings. There is no “passing the plate.” Rather you can give in boxes at the back of our worship center, online, or by mail.
